How Scholarships Work

How to apply for scholarships

  1. On-Campus Scholarships: Direct your inquiries to the corresponding department and college.
    • Student assistant scholarship students by university: Selected by department and university and recommended to graduate school
    • Student assistant scholarship students of large-scale lectures at University College: Selected by University College and recommended to graduate school
    • Student assistant scholarship students of online lectures: selected by the Innovation Center for Teaching and Learning (ICTL) and recommended to graduate school
  2. Off-Campus Scholarships: Selected directly by the foundation or selected by each college according to the order of assignment to each college.
  3. As a condition for receiving all on-campus and off-campus scholarships, it is necessary to complete 'Yonsei University Violence Prevention Education (LearnUs)' and submit a certificate of completion to the department and university.

How the scholarship is granted

  1. In order to receive a scholarship account, a bank account in the student's name must be registered in the academic portal system, and payments are made sequentially according to the scholarship schedule.
  2. How to register an account: Access Yonsei Portal Service (http://portal.yonsei.ac.kr) → Academic Information System → Login → Academic Administration → Academic Records → Student → Check Academic Information → Change Account Information → Confirm Account → Save
